weird gender stuff

I don’t like being called Frau Enzi. (Miss/Mrs. Enzi)

I just don’t. :/ I would much rather have people refer to me by my first name and the polite Sie in German. I don’t know. While I do identify as a woman, I do not want it to be mentioned whenever someone adresses me, I mean, seriously….

Can’t we just all agree on first names, or names of choice? Heck, when I meet someone I offer them to call me by my first name. And I am really fine with that. But many if not most people in official positions or higher in the hierarchy just outright refuse to call me by my first name instead of GENDER + LAST NAME.

Why, though?

I mean, come on. COME ON.

I like my last name, sure, but I would much rather not get referred to with my last name all the damn time.
